Rootzone is a mix of course grit, sand and a small of amount of soil specifically blended to use directly underneath turf. It’s fine structure and loose consitency means that it is very easily spread and levelled, making it the go to choice for sportslawns where a consistent, smooth lawn is required. It’s low water holding capacity keeps it from clumping in wetter weather, and it also alows water to drain through it easily, helping to prevent water logging.

It’s for these reasons that Rootzone is so often used as the top layer of soil on golf courses, football pitches and other well-kept environments. In many cases, it is beneficial to mix with another soil in order to add to the nutrient profile, whilst keeping the soil workable. We recommend using a top layer of rootzone with a depth of 1 inch to attain the desired level.

We sell Rootzone in bulk bags weighing approximately 850kg that can be delivered directly to your door, or as loose loads for larger quantities. It is also available in small handy bags, weighing around 20kg.

Deliveries in and around Greater Manchester are made using a heavy goods vehicle with crane offload and are kerbside only, whilst nationwide deliveries are made via tail lift truck.  Deliveries take place Monday to Saturday, usually between 7am to 5pm.

We also offer a premium next day* delivery service for when you need it now! The cost of which depends on whereabouts in the country you are situated. When you place your order online the delivery charge will be added to your basket at the checkout once you have entered the delivery address.

Local Pick Up

All of our products are eligible for collection from our superstore at Oakenbottom Road, and will be ready for collection within 30 minutes.

Returns and Cancellations:
We are happy to refund or exchange as long as the product is as sold and in its original packaging. Customers are responsible for all delivery charges.
